The challenge

Tech CVs are uniquely messy — 60+ tool skill lists, projects buried in walls of text, contractor and permanent CVs needing different treatment. The agency's recruiters were rewriting candidate skill sections by hand to highlight stack matches per role, taking 20-30 minutes per CV. Bulk pulls from job ads (often 100+ applicants) created multi-day formatting backlogs.
The CTO of one major banking client started rejecting CVs that did not list tech stack in their preferred order — adding another rework loop.
