How the calculator works
The calculator takes your three inputs and applies FormaCV's time-saving figure:
- Hours saved per week = CVs per week × minutes per CV × 95% ÷ 60.
- Hours saved per month = hours saved per week × 4.33, the average number of weeks in a month.
- Money saved per month = hours saved per month × the hourly rate you enter.
Assumptions
The 95% time reduction is FormaCV's own claim: AI formats a CV in about 60 seconds, against 20–40 minutes by hand in FormaCV's customer benchmark. It is not independent research, and it leaves room for a recruiter to review each CV.
The hourly rate starts at the minimum wage, in US dollars, for the country your browser reports. Replace it with the loaded hourly cost of whoever formats your CVs (salary plus employer costs and overheads), which will usually be higher. All results are in US dollars.
The money figure is gross. It does not subtract FormaCV's fee of $0.99 per CV, which at 25 CVs a week comes to about $107 a month.
Worked example
Say your team formats 25 CVs a week at 20 minutes each. That is 25 × 20 × 95% = 475 minutes saved, or about 7.9 hours a week and 34 hours a month. At a loaded cost of $30 an hour, the time is worth about $1,028 a month, or roughly $921 after FormaCV's fees.
